Zyban also referred to as Wellbutrin, is a prescription medication and you need to consult a physician before taking it. The active ingredient in ZYBAN is bupropion, a drug also used to treat depression. Zyban does not contain any nicotine and helps reduce the craving for cigarettes. 

Zyban affects your brain chemistry resulting in a reduced need for cigarettes. It also reduces the withdrawal symptoms. You need to take Zyban for about 7 to 12 weeks. The exact time will depend on the individual, some people will need a longer treatment period than others.

• You can take Zyban while you are still smoking which may help reduce withdrawal

What Does It Cost?

Zyban costs anywhere from $80 to $110 (depending on whether you buy the generic version or the brand name) for a supply of 30 tablets. The recommended dosage is 2 tablets per day.
